We re-opened St.Peter’s Church Henfield for worship on Sunday 12th July and since then there have been two services of Holy Communion at 8.30am and 10am eachweek (the first Sunday has continued to be our service for All ages that doesnt have Holy Communion) . To comply with the latest guidelines on hygiene and social distancing its taken a bit longer to re-open St. Giles’ at Shermanbury and St. Peter’s at Woodmancote. Whilst we have had 3 services in August at Woodmancote it is felt that until the end of the year we can only have the 11.15am services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. That means that from September the 8.30am and 10.00am services will be at Henfield each week and the 11.15am services will alternate between Shermanbury and Woodmancote. As with all services so far, how we worship has needed to change . Each service will be said, there will be no congregational singing, although organ music will be played before and after each service, and sadly we cannot offer refreshments after the services either. There will also be changes to the way in which we take a collection too. Congregations will also need to be limited in size so please contact the church office on 01273 495532 or by email to admin@henfield.org, if you wish to come, so that we can manage numbers. We are also very aware that some people are still self-isolating or shielding, others remain nervous, and others still need to stay at home because of age or underlying health conditions. With that in mind we will continue to livestream our services on Facebook from St. Peter’s, Henfield each week.
