The last services held in our churches were on Sunday 15th March and so we are delighted to announce that we will be re-opening St.Peter’s Church Henfield for worship on Sunday 12th July. There will be two services of Holy Communion at 8.30am and 10am. It will be church, but not as we know it, as we rightly need to put in place measures that comply with the latest guidelines on hygiene and social distancing to keep each other safe. That also means that how we worship needs to change at the moment. Each service will be said, there will be no congregational singing, nor sharing of the peace at the 10am service. Sadly we cannot offer refreshments after the services either. There will also be changes to the way in which we take a collection too. Congregations will also need to be limited in size so please contact the church office if you wish to come so that we can manage numbers. We are sorry that we can’t offer services at Shermanbury and Woodmancote immediately, but they will be reinstated over the next couple of months. We are also very aware that some people are still self-isolating or shielding, others remain nervous, and others still need to stay at home because of age or underlying health conditions. With that in mind we will continue to livestream our services on Facebook. For more information on what changes we have made to our services please click here
