Does your child or teenager enjoy singing? Would they like to be involved in church music at St Peter’s Church Henfield, and sing at a Sunday morning service once a month?
A Children’s Choir (ages 8-11) will be starting on 13th September with rehearsals in St. Peter’s Church on Tuesdays from 4pm till 4.45, followed by a Youth Choir (ages 12-18) from 5pm till 6pm. We will be learning short choral pieces to sing at the 9.45 Family Communion service on the first Sunday of the month, starting on 2nd October.
A regular adult choir (over 18) will also be starting in September, with the aim initially of singing an anthem (a short choral piece of music) at the Sunday morning service on two Sundays a month. Rehearsals will be in St. Peter’s Church Henfield on Tuesdays, from 7pm-8.30pm with the option to go on a little longer when we are preparing for carol services or concerts. If you are interested, please email Sidonie Winter, Choir Director,  (Contact below) with your name and voice. You do not have to be able to read music (although it helps!) as part of the rehearsal will be learning your parts, nor do you have to be a church-goer, just willing to learn the ‘routine’ of a church service, and how the music fits in.
