All of us feel a deep sense of sorrow at the loss of Her Majesty the Queen. As the nation mourns, we pray for her family, especially for Charles as he becomes King. St. Peter’s Henfield will be open each day from 8am until 6pm for people to come, remember and pay their respects, light candles and to say a prayer. A book of condolence will be available for people to leave a message too. St. Peter’s Woodmancote will also be open each day from 9am until 6pm up to and including the day before the late Queen’s funeral. A book of condolence will be available there too. On Sunday 11th September prayers for the late Queen, the King, the Royal family and our nation at all our regular services. At 4pm on Sunday 11th, the Vice Chairman of Henfield Parish Council will read the traditional Proclamation outside Henfield Hall, prayers will be said and the National anthem will be sung.
On Sunday 18th September services of Commemoration, Thanksgiving and Remembrance will be held as follows.
11.15am at St Giles’, Shermanbury.
4pm at St. Peter’s Woodmancote.
6pm at St. Peter’s Henfield.
