Holy Week and Easter Services 2023

All are welcome to join us for our services during Holy Week and Easter.

(Services abbrieviated ‘BCP’ use the dignified and beautiful  traditional language of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.)

Sun 2 Apr – Palm Sunday        

8.30am          Holy Communion (BCP) and

9.45am           Family Communion at St Peter’s, Henfield – including a visit from Spooky the Donkey. The service starts in the Churchyard.

11.15am       Morning Prayer at St Giles’, Shermanbury

4.00pm          Songs of Praise at St. Peter’s Woodmancote

Mon 3 Apr and Tues 4 April          

7.30pm         Compline (Night Prayer)  and Reflection at St Peter’s, Henfield

Wed 5 Apr – Wednesday of Holy Week          

7.30pm         Tenebrae – a service of readings and music for Holy Week at St. Peter’s Woodmancote

Thur 6 Apr– Maundy Thursday 

7.30pm   Sung Eucharist of the Last Supper followed by a Vigil at St. Peter’s Henfield and

11.00pm  Compline

Fri 7 Apr – Good Friday 

9.45am         Family Worship – The story of Good Friday for All Ages at St. Peter’s Henfield

11.00am       Walk of Witness starting at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church

2pm                 The Liturgy of Good Friday at St. Peter’s Henfield  

Sun 9 Apr – Easter Day 

5.30am                Dawn Eucharist

8.30am               Holy Communion (BCP) and

9.45am               Eucharist for Easter Day  at St Peter’s, Henfield

11.15am            Holy Communion (Traditional Language) at St. Peter’s, Woodmancote  and 

4.00pm               Easter Songs of Praise at St. Giles’ Shermanbury
