A hand of Friendship for Ukrainian Families and their hosts in Henfield.

Henfield Churches, Henfield Parish Council, Henfield Community Partnership, BN5 magazine and Henfield Medical Centre, and St. Peter’s School, alongside other organisations, businesses, groups and charities have come together to offer a welcoming hand of friendship to the families who will be joining us in the village from Ukraine. The group offers friendship and support to host families and new Ukrainian residents, and each Saturday (Starts 28th May) a weekly coffee morning takes place at Church House, Church Lane, Henfield from 10am until 11.30am to allow people to meet together.  The group offers signposting towards other support to help guests settle into our village, such as medical and school contacts and practical help, including translation services, and lots more! Please click here for the Henfield for Ukraine website for more information.
We’ll be reaching out to the wider Henfield community for specific needs over the coming months, such as donations of goods for people setting up their homes, or perhaps offers of employment via our ‘Henfield for Ukraine’ Facebook page.   If you are a host or you are from Ukraine and need assistance the Henfield Helpline number is 01273 494420 , where a message can be left and someone will get back to you, or please click here to contact us by email.  If you would like to offer assitance or volunteer in any way do also send us an email, we would love to hear from you.
