The Little Fishes gathered again this afternoon to enjoy another Bible story about St Paul but while everyone was arriving we sang some of our favourite songs – ‘Twinkle, twinkle little star’, ‘Away in a manger’ and ‘The wiseman built his house upon the rock’.

Rev’d Christina reminded us about how Paul had been really mean to the Friends of Jesus and then how Jesus how spoken to him from a bright light as he travelled to Damascus. From then on Paul had become one of Jesus’ followers.

After a while the people of Damascus wanted Paul to be arrested. So his friends put together a plan for Paul to escape.

First of all, we had to build the city walls of Damascus.

Rev’d Cristina told us that Paul’s friends put him him in a large basket so they could lower him over the city walls. We found a large basket and put teddy in it.

Then we attached ropes to the basket.

And got ready to lower Teddy over the city walls.

After all this excitement it was time for some colouring. All different colours were chosen for the basket from yellow through to purple.

Then it was time to knock the city walls down!
