To mark the last ‘great, green, growing Sunday’ of the year we decided to talk about time.

'This is the church's year. It can show us how the church tells time.'

First we find the three great days. Easter....Christmas....And Pentecost.

And then we have all the Sundays of the year.... Here are all the purple Sundays.

And then we have all the Sundays of the year…. Here are all the purple Sundays.

We call this time Advent. The colour for getting ready is purple. How many purple Sundays do we have here…one…two..three…four…so we have four purple Sundays in Advent.

Advent tells the beginning of the new church year and the ending of the old one.

But where are we today?

When we went across to Church House we made a mini Church's Year wheel.

Here we are…the last Sunday of Trinity…the last great, green, growing Sunday of the year…next Sunday it will be Advent. We will change colour, we will begin a new year and we will begin again to get ready for the mystery of Christmas.

In2mission will meet again on 8th December during the 10.30am Celebrate! Service when all children aged 3 and over will be welcome to join us.

In the meantime, join us next Sunday for All Age Worship as we start ‘Journeying towards Bethlehem’.
